Tammy’s life has always centred on the Barossa Valley and its unique sense of tradition and community. She spent a magnificent childhood growing up on her parents & grandparents vineyard & farming properties at Stonewell, where she is established today. The tiny valley of Stonewell, within the Barossa, is located on its western side near the famous palm lined Seppeltsfield road & the village of Marananaga. Tammy has special memories of childhood, picking grapes after school for 20 cents a bucket pocket money; spending the evenings with her Dad in the vineyard, checking blocks for maturity & learning the names of weeds & grape varieties along the way.

At only 19, she took a leap of faith & purchased the property now known as Red Nectar Estate, within the Stonewell region, almost adjoining her family property. Tammy selects the very best parcels of fruit from the estate, together with fruit from vines up to 70 years old on her family property.

After many winter days pruning, long autumn days picking, & hot summer days vine training, Tammy now sees her dream coming to fruition. As a 6th generation vigneron, her wine is the extension of her Barossa traditions – "a sense of belonging, a sense of ownership; material proof of the piece of yourself you put into your dreams."
