Schutz Barossa represents the coming together of two Barossa winegrowing families. Tammy a sixth generation vigneron, along with husband and 5th generation vigneron, Stuart, continue the strong traditions set before them. Each generation passes on its craft to the next. Believing the best wines are made in the vineyard, Tammy and Stuart have honed these skills to produce grapes with the classic richness of the western Barossa.

Stuart and Tammy planted their respective vineyards 11 years ago, long before they knew one another. Tammy began Red Nectar Vineyards in 1997 and later Red Nectar Wines in 2002. In 2005, Stuart and Tammy were married under the sweeping branches of an old peppermint gum on Tammy’s vineyard property. Since then, their united vineyard and wine entity has become known as Schutz Barossa. Tammy and Stuart continue to also work their descendent family vineyards alongside their parents.
