Great Barossa Vineyards

 Schutz Barossa vineyards

The true expression of an individual wine is created in the vineyard. The Schutz vineyards soils, of the western and north western Barossa provide a deep richness to the wines which they produce. The red clay which dominates the Ebenezer vineyard, and underlies the Marananga and Stonewell vineyards, enables intensely flavoured fruit to be grown with minimal irrigation. These areas are renowned for producing full bodied, rich and classic Shiraz.

Tammy & Stuart manage their vineyard properties with a deep environmental consciousness. Currently in-conversion organic, they aim for organic certification within the next 4 years. A wild olive removal project is also underway, as part of a long term plan to return virgin scrub on their Stonewell property to its original state. Native flora is beginning to re-grow and kangaroos and wildlife are returning to this haven.
